Mothers Blessing Ceremony
Im really excited to to share with you all my experience hosting my first Mothers Blessing Ceremony.
A Mothers Blessing Ceremony is pretty much a sacred gathering and celebration that honors a woman as she prepares to give birth and become a mother. Regardless if she’s given birth before, the “mom to be” is nourished by her tribe through sacred spiritual practices like meditation, Sister circles, testimony, mantra, prayers, beautiful rituals, and so much more as a way for them to express their love and support for her during this important time..
A mother's blessing ceremony is a special ritual or ceremony that honors a woman as she prepares to become a mother. It is often held during the later stages of pregnancy, but can also be held after the birth of the child.
The ceremony is typically organized by the mother's friends or family members, The focus of the ceremony is on celebrating the mother-to-be and offering her blessings and good wishes for a safe and healthy pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period,
During the ceremony, participants may engage in various rituals and activities that are meant to symbolize the mother's journey. These may include creating a birth necklace or bracelet, where each participant contributes a bead or charm with a special meaning; sharing birth stories or words of encouragement; creating a birth altar with candles, flowers, and other meaningful objects.
The purpose of a mother's blessing ceremony is to create a supportive and nurturing space for the mother-to-be, and to help her feel empowered and connected to her community as she prepares for this transformative experience. It can be a beautiful and meaningful way to honor the journey of motherhood, and to recognize the important role that women play in bringing new life into the worlld.
Hosting this mothers blessing ceremony was truly and honor and a remembering for me. It felt like an ode to our ancestors where we resuscitated a lost art form of honoring the mother for being the sacred portal whom births life into this world. I’m so grateful my sorority sister and dear friend @michellemitchenor trusted me to hold sacred space as we nourished her for the coming of her beautiful child.

There’s so much beauty and power in being a woman, and being a mother. It was an honor to venerate this lost art form where we pour into the mother and gain strength from our mothers. mothers. mothers. mother, who have come before us as we visualized her birth being so beautiful and easeful. We held our sister up in love, affirmation and assurance of support. As a mom I know how alone I felt after giving birth and even at times during my pregnancy because everything became about the baby, and though that is exciting, this special time to really honor the sacred portal that the mother is so needed and so necessary. .
it was really a pleasure to host what turned out to be such a beautiful ceremony, the divine mother had her way I’ve been being real specific with God about how I desire to be used and to show up and I have been attracting opportunities for my business @thejourney.healingoasis to grow with ease. . it was a dream to be sought out and flown out to hold sacred space. This is really the first of many experiences ill be curating in and out of the country. My desire is to curate sacred experiences globally.

I want to encourage you to get in the practice of calling in your desires, thinking of them as if they’re already yours, writing them out, envisioning, attracting and magnetizing them to you. When you open your heart, your sacral, your mind and crown to receive your desires they will make their way to you. The moment you believe it, feel it, and KNOW. It becomes true. Perception is reality.
